I've been writing a novel that takes place during Christmas season since June. So I've been listening to Christmas music all this time, I've been in that mindset, and now that everyone's catching up it feels... weird, heh. This has been the longest Christmas season ever for me.

It's good! And a really effective palate cleanser after UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: THE RETURN--which may have been the last JCVD movie I saw in theaters, come to think of it.

I know a lot of people love DAY OF RECKONING, but I've always preferred REGENERATION. I just love that one.

I liked it in GEMINI MAN as an experiment. Like Ryan Coogler going with a 2.76:1 aspect ratio in SINNERS. They're fun experiments--once in a while. But it's not the way I like to watch movies, personally.

Murtaugh is incredibly homophobic in the series. Do you think that was Danny Glover ad libbing, too? Or could it be that they're actors portraying the characters as they were written?

I wouldn't consider any of them to be comedies. They have a lot of humor, but I don't think they're comedies. The comedy goes harder as the series goes along, yes, but so does the violence. 4 has the most violent action sequences in the series. It's a nice balance, I think.

Yeah, absolutely. I don't like to judge either. It's the double standard that bothers me. If they didn't judge others for watching movies from people they don't like, sure, feel free to watch whatever you like or not. But the double standard is so annoying.

I like how some of the people who were like, "Oh, I'll never watch that movie directed by that piece of shit" (when it was someone they didn't like) are now like, "Well, let's focus on the movie, not the director" (because it's QT). So *now* you suddenly can separate the art from the artist somehow?
