Arrived in Lebanon, where I spoke with UNSCOL envoy Jeanine Hennis. Lebanon has suffered severely from the war between Israel and Hezbollah last year, and the situation remains fragile. Regional stability and economic recovery remain crucial.

We talked about the efforts for regional stability and the reception and return of refugees. Also discussed the need to advance government reforms and the IMF agreement.

Tebnine Hospital, the only operational hospital left in the South of #Lebanon, was badly damaged in the recent conflict. The Netherlands and #LAF-CIMIC helped it with new electricity storage facilities, to ensure that it can keep serving the people of the wider region
