The Netherlands to airdrop aid into Gaza with international partners.

The conditions in Gaza are catastrophic. Much more aid needs to reach the people now, most importantly via land. Because these routes are limited, Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans and I have decided that the Netherlands will join an international coalition to airdrop essential supplies. 1/4

The Netherlands strongly condemns the outrageous sentencing of Russian citizen Olga Komleva to 12 years for allegedly disseminating so-called fake news & affiliation with Navalny’s organisation. We call for her immediate release and that of all political prisoners in Russia.

These hostile actions are unacceptable and clear violations of our sovereignty. We jointly call on the Iranian authorities to put an end to such illegal activities. 2/2

The Netherlands supports global efforts to prevent and combat human trafficking along migration routes and protect and assist victims.

The Netherlands commends Thailand and Cambodia on reaching a ceasefire and applauds Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia, as ASEAN chair, for his leadership in facilitating this process.

Russia increasingly uses chemical weapons against Ukrainian soldiers. A horrific way of conducting war and also a dangerous development which threatens to lower the threshold to use these types of weapons. That is unacceptable. 1/2
