Yes, but even the Queen was only on banknotes from 1960 onwards - still well within living memory.
This piqued my curiosity, and people were only put on banknotes from 1971 onwards in the UK.

Happy Birthday to the Bakerloo line - 120 years old today. The initial section of the tube line was formally opened on 10 March 1906 by the Chairman of the #London CC; the brochure has this fine map showing the line along with the other UERL tubes under construction.
