So after 2 doctors just dismissed Emma's high fever as something that she might be prone to, we finally learn that she has a mild case of pneumonia. Is this all she has or is it on top of something else? Is this something she's going to have to deal with every time she gets sick? Not a clue.

Grief isn't something you feel and then heals. It never really heals. It can seem to fade for a while and then it bubbles back to the surface, sometimes years down the road. Sometimes, it just something small that makes you feel that absence so deeply. It's okay to sit with that pain when it hits.
