I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Yes! I saw a piece during covid talking about the price of cereal, from the perspective of corn farmers. They are barely covering costs, truckers are same, packaging same, shippers same, retailers same. But all of that adds up to high cost w/no one "winning" or making $$$. Its about broad spectrum

When manufacturing got outsourced a lot of things got cheaper and a lot of jobs went away in those industries. Was it on the balance "good" - really depends! Are you buying a washing machine or employed in a factory that used to make them?

I was working an entire essay on this very notion this summer and this is reminding me I should pick it back up. TL;DR - every price is someone else's income and whether prices going down on something is "good" depends a whole lot on what you do for a living.

This administration is flooding the zone so furiously that people have largely lost track of the lethal attacks on boats in the Caribbean, the gov’t shutdown, the economy, failed release of the Epstein files & so much else. It’s a tactic of would-be strongmen.

Yesterday I spoke with @velshi.com about why Portland isn't 'war ravaged' - it's a city on the rise.

Nobody cares about the victims in the Dallas ICE shooting apparently. The first I've heard about one of them was on CNN today. He's fighting for his life in the hospital --- he was brought to the US when he was 13. He's 33 now. No criminal record.

I just don't know what to say anymore.

I've been saying he's evil. But I think that he's too stupid to be evil. Tyrant is what he is indeed. But I'm struggling to find a strong enough word for his character...
