The President sees a bad jobs report, and responds by getting rid of the person in charge of the statistics. This is how America becomes a third-rate country.
02.08.2025 00:25 β π 5925 π 1271 π¬ 389 π 81Today's jobs report shows 24,000 factory jobs lost in the past three months.
Trumpβs first term brought a manufacturing recession. Now his reckless tariffs are making Americans worse off, again.
Think about what the GOP is revealing with their attempt to suddenly change the Congressional maps: they know their agenda is so unpopular that they're going to lose unless something changes.
Of course, what they should be changing is their policies, not the maps.
Sixty years ago today, Medicare and Medicaid were signed into law - securing health care for millions and saving countless lives. As GOP politicians try to tear them down, it's up to us to protect and expand these programs for Americans who rely on them today and for future generations.

28.07.2025 14:42 β π 1814 π 294 π¬ 57 π 16A different way of practicing politics is possible - where we vigorously fight for whatβs right while inviting people into our coalition, rather than pushing them away.
27.07.2025 14:52 β π 13349 π 2983 π¬ 578 π 216Along with the whole Traverse City community, Chasten and I are shaken by the awful and senseless violence at Walmart earlier today. Weβre thinking of everyone affected and hoping and praying for speedy recovery for all those who were injured.

"His response...has revealed how gullible he wants to think his own base is."
Is there a list?
"What I know is...there's enough of a there there that they said they would push it out and then they won't."
The Trump administration has taken its anti-diversity agenda to such extremes that it's killing good infrastructure projects - including roadway safety improvements that I worked on with congressional Republicans - just because they went to disadvantaged areas.
25.07.2025 12:01 β π 3675 π 884 π¬ 83 π 40Their policies are already so unpopular, itβs no wonder congressional Republicans delayed the most harmful impacts until after the next election.

19.07.2025 17:54 β π 3833 π 1179 π¬ 157 π 54Trump promised to cut prices on day one. Instead he increased them - on purpose.
16.07.2025 15:55 β π 3474 π 847 π¬ 95 π 32More than ever, Americans must remain grounded in the founding principles of our republic. Wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July!
249 years since we declared independence from a king, the work of living up to our founding promise is more important than ever - and it calls on each of us to do what we can for our country.
Today proves that Republicans were serious about one promise: to cut taxes for the wealthy. All the rest was bullshit.
03.07.2025 19:31 β π 11108 π 2787 π¬ 411 π 174Itβs not too late to take action. Call your representative at 202-224-3121 to tell them to vote no.
02.07.2025 17:08 β π 1268 π 305 π¬ 59 π 8What matters most is the harm that will be done to peopleβs lives if Trumpβs budget becomes law. I'm grateful to Stacy for talking with me yesterday and sharing her story about just how much is at stake for her family.
02.07.2025 17:08 β π 2118 π 330 π¬ 44 π 13Thank you to Stacy for sharing her story - and for doing what any parent would do to make sure their daughter has the care she needs to live at home.
As this bill on GOP Medicaid cuts goes back to the House, itβs not too late to remind Washington politicians just how much is at stake.
VP Vance has cast the deciding vote in the Senate to cut Medicaid, take away food assistance, blow up the deficit, and add tax breaks for the wealthiest.
This bill is unpopular because it is wrong.
Congress votes this week, but itβs our voices - and our votes - that will have the final say.
It shouldn't get lost that just today, Senate Republicans have voted to close nursing homes, close rural hospitals, and cut food stamp benefits for children and veterans.
01.07.2025 01:14 β π 12762 π 4306 π¬ 314 π 131This bill would kick millions off their health insurance, and thousands will even lose their lives - unless we stop it in its tracks.
Some Republicans are breaking ranks, showing it's not too late. Time to speak up!
