No discussion of democracy. No discussion of elections. Plenty of talk by Trump about running the country and taking the oil. Let’s not forget to thank John Roberts for his role in immunizing this international criminal.
2/ To be clear, we are not fans of hand counting for 1st official count. But audits and recounts must be done by hand count to ensure machines are not mis-programmed. The election officials will probably claim that the rule prevails, but it does not. The statute does. Candidates should insist.
Fascinating, Pete!
If the county ran the election, the recounts should be conducted manually, despite the inaccurate St. Elec. Board recount rule that requires a machine recount. Even the SEB admitted in court that recounts should be manual, but leaves unlawful rule in place. 1/

OOPSIE: Last week, DOGE posted an online “wall of receipts,” celebrating how much it had saved by canceling federal contracts, but they had to delete the five largest items because they were simply not true.
What a fraud.

3/ Many progressives do not understand that the GA system cannot detect hacking and all the audits in the world will not expose it. But SOS defends the system by saying it has never been hacked. But no one can know that. Worst system in the US!
GA lawmakers too afraid to confront him.
2/ Many progressives do not understand that Raffensperger is no friend of honest elections, and wrongly assume that because he PURPORTEDLY "stood up to Trump," that he's one of the good guys.
No, he has installed and stubbornly maintained a high risk hackable voting system --all experts agree.
My opinion piece, "Raffensperger's latest betrayal of election integrity," just published in James Mag. online.
GA lawmakers must seek real answers and stop SOS dishonest testimony that continues to undermine GA voting system security. Worsening each year. 1/

He’s baaaaaaaaack
Interesting thing for the President to say about a person who, according the government’s lawyers, “has no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself” and “only has the ability to advise the President, or communicate the President’s directives.”
The single greatest failure of the Democrats was not investigating this election.
We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.
We all see what’s happening—because we are the target! Who doesn’t know someone affected?
“It’s a level of incompetence that we’ve never seen before in government.
To say that Elon Musk is not running the United States right now is really a fallacy.” — @dougjones.bsky.social
Well, clearly the results of the 2024 General Election in concert with the comments & conduct of our newly elected Senate & House provides undeniable proof character, honor, moral & physical courage no longer count as attributes of a voting citizen of the USA
The UK has a shadow cabinet - political positions within the party that isn’t in power - and so should we. Plus, we need weekly press briefings led by @petebuttigieg.bsky.social on the state of the union. Business-as-usual time is over.
Every aspect of the Rubio-Lavrov talks in Riyadh is bad.
Negotiating over the head of Ukraine indicates a sellout.
Excluding the Europeans reveals indifference to Ukraine's future economic reconstruction (since the Europeans will pay the largest share).

Your good new story for the day.
I just received a message from a landlord in Florida. He has lost over $30,000 in rentals since Canadians began the boycott.
Canadians are doing their part.
LET'S TAKE THE BOYCOTT INTERNATIONAL.
We invite allied nations to boycott all things American.
The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?
If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.
If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.
Recommend follow.
Trump just fired 88 employees at the Western Area Power Administration. Combined with Elon’s “buyout,” we could be looking at a 20% reduction in their workforce, crippling the western grid and leading to blackouts and power outages.
This is probably the most accurate take.
I’m sure it’s just my TDS, but I think Trump is proving to be exactly as bad as we said he was going to be and people who acted like we were hysterical should be embarrassed they didn’t do more to try and stop it.
This is fascism.
If you’ve ever taken the oath to uphold the Constitution, this is the time to live up to it.
