I just had the opportunity to observe Chrystia Freeland in action up close at the YES conference she will excel in this role & Ukraine will be better supported.
Russia has learned its lesson. If it canβt win the hearts and minds of the citizens of its enemies it can create doubt, and enemies within those states. This ordinary citizen factor as a main battleground really needs to be understood as central and not additional.

Not only does this all facilitate future kinetic attacks - it also helps further undermines psychological resilience/capacity in society to deal with a crisis or its escalation.
This started first with massive coordinated disinformation campaigns in Poland, across allied states and elsewhere in the world. From LA to Asia.
Then Russia watches how leaders discuss the attack, where they struggle to articulate βcorrectly,β or convincingly or
I am surprised by how many people are missing the fact that the kinetic component and reaction to it (and seeking to prevent it the future) when it comes to the Russian drone attack on Poland is likely not βthe main eventβ - thatβs the cognitive warfare that unfolded thereafter.
