Why Ukraine is winning the war Russia has failed to achieve its core aim β€” the destruction of the Ukrainian nation

I always say Russia lost the war it set out to win and moreover the war it is currently continuing is an unwinable war for Russia - at least in Ukraine.

What great news for Ukraine @chrystia-freeland.bsky.social will be Canada’s special representative for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

I just had the opportunity to observe Chrystia Freeland in action up close at the YES conference she will excel in this role & Ukraine will be better supported.

Russia has learned its lesson. If it can’t win the hearts and minds of the citizens of its enemies it can create doubt, and enemies within those states. This ordinary citizen factor as a main battleground really needs to be understood as central and not additional.

…Where they show their cards. Where they highlight weaknesses.

Not only does this all facilitate future kinetic attacks - it also helps further undermines psychological resilience/capacity in society to deal with a crisis or its escalation.

This started first with massive coordinated disinformation campaigns in Poland, across allied states and elsewhere in the world. From LA to Asia.

Then Russia watches how leaders discuss the attack, where they struggle to articulate β€œcorrectly,” or convincingly or

I am surprised by how many people are missing the fact that the kinetic component and reaction to it (and seeking to prevent it the future) when it comes to the Russian drone attack on Poland is likely not β€œthe main event” - that’s the cognitive warfare that unfolded thereafter.

Some reports are of at least 19 (!) Russia drones entered Polish airspace.

β€œToday there was another escalation step – Russian-Iranian β€œshaheds” operated in Polish airspace, in the airspace of NATO. Not 1 β€œshahed”, which could be called a coincidence, but at least 8 attack drones were aimed in the direction of Poland.” - Zelensky on telegram.

If Venezuela has historically exhibited some of the highest levels of public support for democracy in Latin America, how did it become an autocracy?

The combination of "an aspiring autocrat and a highly polarized electorate" are to blame. Read more:
