Been very much enjoying getting to know the new LP from Welsh born Glasgow based Edwin R Stevens these last few days ♥️
Following up the Ankst Records released "God On All Fours" with this brilliant new album "A Plague Of Gimps" - dark, minimal, witty & so so good 🎶
That's just financially insane. Last I bought was a Billy woods LP and since then I've been purposely ignoring them cos it's such a bummer

Kills me how expensive Backwoodz stuff is
Sarcasm drip here quoted from a recent review. Records looks amazing, love that purple. I'm yet to open up a copy and having handled every single one and worked on it for pretty much two years I cant bring myself to listen or look just yet. It's indie, apparently. and we're veterans. Good to know 🍻😂

Yay, look what's arrived without Brexit BS!
Thank you!

Attention! People with ears!
EDWIN R STEVENS is in session for Riley & Coe on 6music tonight. His new album "A Plague Of Gimps" utterly destroys me. I can't believe our stupid label gets to release this incredible music.
Tune in later and if you dig it then the albums here:
(Not many LPs left)
I stand by what I said i will be taking zero questions
best UK psych record since the 60s
Only band who are actually as good - Leatherface. The rest, nah 😉
I said what I said
The finest band from the North East
The charts. They mean zero to people now. In the playgrounds of the 60s-90s they were a topic of conversation. The BBC got rid of Top of the Pops and the music industry got rid of people giving a shit by not keeping up with what was going on with a thing called the internet. Anyhow, the charts
😂
That sounds entirely within character. It was the band version in Stoke Newington
Insanely sad that I never saw them. I bought this when it came out, did they tour the UK then? I dunno. Did see Dub Narcotic (in Stoke Newington). They were a lot of fun. I heard Calvin didn't like onions so everyone in Olympia pretended they didn't like them as well. This can't be true

Heaven Was Wild
The many excellent lives of Hey Colossus...
Latest incarnation blasts raw propulsion & ragged heart live & direct from the other side with a swing that'll flatten buildings.
Always a pleasure 😎👍😉🖤
Loved this record back then. Love it now. What a band, Beat Happening 🍻
Their chapter in Our Band Could Be Your Life is also absolutely of note
Mam's had it up to here!
At last the Irked album shuffles into view. I love this band. Continuing excellence from Wrong Speed Records

Absofuckinglutely. Yr music collection is varied. Why should a record label just release things that are all the same. There IS something in common with everything on WSR. We know it. You should know it by now
The new HC album’s been on heavy rotation here since its arrival here earlier this week- it’s a doozy so get on it.
Obviously we all preferred Stanton, but at this point it’s probably not unreasonable to wonder whether that particular ship has sailed and think about moving on.
Doozy. Odd word, eh?
Wooooh! The debut album from IRKED is finally scheduled for release!
"The Grievance" comes on coke-bottle green vinyl and a super-limited, Bandcamp-and-gigs-only yellow vinyl too. Plus download, obv.
In shops May 1st but you can bag a copy on pre-order NOW

I had one of the best times watching it all and then watched talk sport as Jamie o hara and Jason cundy almost had a fight. Please be relegated
I don't suppose the foo fighters will care what league tottenham are in when they bring their grunge to north london. It certainly seems like the owners of the club don't care. Stadium first, team second
They've fixed it so the championship goes down to 8th for play offs next season purely to get spurs back up
