30.09.2025 17:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Abbie! Yeah, I do actually like Watership Down a lot. It more than deserves its spot in the literary canon. But personally, I like HU more, I think it does some XF stuff particularly well. Itโs made me feel emotions only a handful of other books ever have. Looking forward to Thrive!

Like when Oslo reveals Naito supposedly wants to kill Elite, it falls flat because we have already been inside Naitoโs head enough to know he genuinely loves him. So yeah, pretty mediocre book, might give it a 4/10. Naito is good boy though
OK your posts about this book convinced me to read it, and it wasโฆokay? The story is kind of fun, but the writing is so awkward! The author flits between every characterโs POV - sometimes mid paragraph - when the whole book could have worked fine from Wulfur, Elite, and I guess Quadeโs perspective.
26.09.2025 01:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I finished it a month ago. I get a strange feeling of nostalgia for the bookโs portrayal of the 2030s. Everything is objectively going to shit, but itโs also an age of heroes. That Seige chapterโฆ

01.08.2025 02:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes, even the characters that should have known better treat the 200 year date like prophecy. But by the point the genius children take off in their homemade ufo to land on the moon, I just said fuck it, Iโm staying on this weird ride
31.07.2025 21:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I loved the trippy ideas and unfathomable scope of the book, but I found the way the characters reacted to things hard to buy. Like, the idea of global mass hysteria due to people learning about the doomsday argument is laughable.
31.07.2025 20:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0No he didnโt. He said he was completely fine with people shipping them, but it wouldnโt be the focus of the show, and this was before any proper fandom even existed to pressure him either way.
