A dog whistle to the far right is bad, but is not equivalent to threatening to lynch someone. Only one is a direct threat of violence.

Equally unconvincing, imho, is the narrative of "he just gets govt funding". His competitors also get masses of govt funding, but they don't achieve anywhere near the results. NASA's budget is 20x the amount SpaceX got from the US govt, for insignificant results in comparison.

Yeah no doubt. I have serious misgivings about his later behaviour too. I just find the narrative of "durr, Elon Musk isn't really a founder" to be fairly unconvincing. He's clearly an extremely effective businessman.

He did a pretty damn good job over the following 10 years. Might not be a "founder" by the strictest definitions of the term, but it's pretty clear he had enormous input in growing it to where it is now.

So whatever happened to this idea that we were going to run out of IPv4 addresses? Seems like in 2024, nearly 2025, it's still pretty easy to get a new server with a fresh IPv4 address. How did that get fixed or sidestepped... anyone know?

Tbh Paladin is usually the one with the plate armour that gives disadvantage to stealth checks, and low dex because entirely strength based. Barbs often have decent dex and no armour.

It still is one of the world's great Cities, imho. It was at its peak in 2000-2010. Then started declining 2010-15. Took a nosedive after Brexit in 2016. Now it's going through its low period.

Reality: The contractor cut the fibre cable thinking "It's a Vodafone cable so doesn't matter". Also, the RJ45 ports have nothing behind! (They do have guide wires thank god!)
