Trump Did This…

Allies don’t trust us with their intelligence. That doesn’t just hurt themβ€”it hurts us.

Trump and his reckless security advisers passing secret information on Signal don’t see their actions as a problemβ€”but our allies do.

First off, Pete Hegseth is a disgrace and should be fired.

Second, instead of being an asshole and trash-talking the journalist, he should be thanking him for not posting anything top-secret that’s still to come.

My dad was an air traffic controller at O’Hare back before computers. He handled the fly-over traffic. Highly stressful job. Looking back, I think he had PTSD of sorts from near misses and not being able to trust the person that was handing him off the planes. He was subject to forced retirement.

Medicaid supports nearly half of all U.S. births and provides two-thirds of nursing home care for our seniors. Yet GOP leaders are pushing a budget plan that would gut this vital lifeline to fund more tax cuts for the top 1%. Is this the future we want for our most vulnerable?

Two add’l Air Force one jets ($4B), Super Bowl($15-20M), Daytona 500 ($5M), numerous trips to MAL to play golf ($3.5M each trip). Seems like Trump really isn’t that worried about frivolous spending of taxpayer money.

Trump admin now requires loyalty to Trump as a key hiring factor for gov jobsβ€”blatant Hatch Act violation. The law protects federal employees from political coercion. There must be a solid line between partisan politics and unbiased governance. #HatchAct

You contribute to Social Security your whole working life. The govt uses your money without paying you interest and makes you pay taxes instead. Invested money would have grown significantly. It’s a pretty raw deal when you think about it. Now Republicans want to take it from you.

Musk’s Threats Suddenly Darken as Trump Legal Losses Trigger MAGA Fury As MAGA begins flirting with defying the courts, prominent Trump opponent Norm Eisen explains why the legal resistance is beginning to have success, why that’s infuriating Musk, and what’s coming next...

Elon shared a tweet suggesting it may be time to defy the courts. He also boosted Trump allies who are seething over these rulings. All that amounts to a pretty dark threat from Musk: He and MAGA appear to be steeling themselves to defy judicial rulings.

Laws Are Not Suggestions: How the CFPB Is Delivering for the American People - American Economic Liberties Project Under Director Rohit Chopra, the CFPB has held scammers like Wells Fargo accountable, returning billions of dollars of Americans’ hard-earned money to their bank accounts; fought back against Wall Street and Big Tech’s discriminatory and anti-competitive behavior; ensured violating the law can no longer be written off as just a β€œcost of doing business;” and restored financial freedom to millions of Americans held hostage by the credit reporting cartel.

The CFPB has:

-Returned $20B to victims of financial fraud
-Cracked down on junk fees
-Fought against politically-motivated debanking
-Protected veterans from predatory lenders
-Protected consumers' data from corporate abuse

Oligarchs want to reverse all of this.

THE ASK
This week, between Monday and the vote on Vought, we're asking people from all over the country to plan a visit to Senate State Offices to demand Democrats fight and to hold Republicans accountable for their complicity.
DEMOCRATS MUST USE EVERY PROCEDURAL TOOL TO SHUT DOWN
TRUMP'S AGENDA
Yes, we need Democrats to vote no on Vought's nomination, but no is not enough. Democrats have the power to grind Senate business to a halt and force Republicans to feel the political cost of backing Trump's extremist agenda. Here's how:
1. Deny a Quorum: If Republicans don't have 51 votes in the chamber, Democrats can walk out and shut down Senate business entirely.
2. Block Unanimous Consent: Object to every procedural shortcut, forcing Republicans to take the longest possible route for every step of the confirmation process.
3. Max Out Debate Time: Use all 30 hours of debate on Vought to expose Project 2025, Musk's Treasury takeover, and the funding freeze.
4. Delay and Disrupt: Force roll-call votes, quorum calls, and procedural delays to slow everything down.
5. Blanket Opposition: Democrats cannot continue to vote for Trump's other nominees, helping to install more MAGA loyalists into powerful positions in the federal government while this power grab continues.
No Business as Usual: This is a constitutional crisis. Democrats must abandon the old rules and fight with everything they have.
Bottom line: Senate Democrats must block, delay, and obstruct every step of this process-no cooperation, no easy votes, no fast-tracking Trump's takeover. To learn more about how Senate Democrats can shut down Trump's agenda with procedural hardball, check out our explainer here.

The More You Learn About Elon Musk’s DOGE, the Less Sense It Makes The masterminds behind the proposed government efficiency agency have provided more detail about how it would function. Their explanations only makes their enterprise seem less plausible.

DOGE is not aiming to eliminate a wasteful, lawless, and antidemocratic bureaucracy in Washingtonβ€”it is hoping to become one.

The ultra-wealthy are now able to buy media empires, USSC justices, & politicians so they can mold the world to enrich themselves while erasing the middle class. This means taking over the govt and making laws to benefit only the rich. Removing our society’s safety nets for the poor. It’s shameful.
