I also provide formulas, but, depending on the level, I either write position and velocity as functions of time using vector notation (see below) or I write out the kinematic equations for x and y. For intro students, I plug in that ax = 0 and ay = -g for projectile motion.

So many, but it helps them at the university level. I see so many students trying to use "d" in both the x and y directions and/or not knowing whether it refers to distance or displacement.

I remind my students every time we do a projectile problem that the very first thing they should do, after drawing a sketch of the situation, is to break down the velocity into components. We also use formulas with x and y positions and velocity components, no "d".

I guess they're just ignoring this part:

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

Couldn't a state DA charge them? I don't know enough about law to know how that would work. It just seems like the Dem states need to be doing more to resist ICE.

I think the governor/mayor or whoever is in charge of the state/local police needs to order them to arrest ICE anyway, especially those doing these awful midnight raids where they're zip-tying small children and trashing the apartments of citizens.

This is just awful. Why aren't these guys getting arrested for assault?
