Even if he works on thinking differently, specifically less black and white about their relationship, it still causes him to hyperfocus on the tension between them. He overthinks small comments and facial expressions to a point where it's seriously becoming a problem between them.

Hitoshi knows Denki always hates when he thinks so black and white. He tries to encourage gray thinking whenever he struggles. But this? He can't really budge.

His fear of abandonment is far too great to be able to handle uncertainty. Either they're in this or they're not. That's it.

What can he do? Hitoshi isn't the kind of man to force someone in a relationship. If his partner doesn't want him then that's it. If there's even a smidgen of a doubt, he doesn't want them there.

He got caught in Denki's love potion too. But Katsuki? Their best friend? All of those nights they hung out together, and even that one night they…

And of course Katsuki has to love him too. Who wouldn't love Denki? He's gotta be the most adorable boy he's seen in his life. Denki is the embodiment of pure happiness. His bubbly personality just draws in everyone. Hitoshi can't blame them.

What can he do other than sit back and watch the love of his life fall out of love with him, and in love with none other than their mutual best friend, Katsuki?

Hitoshi thought Denki felt just as strongly for him, and maybe at some point he did. Now, all he sees is his sunshine pulling away from him. He sees their play fights becoming real with their laughter and smiles dwindling.

Denki was Hitoshi's ray of sunshine popping out through dark clouds. He was his first thought in the morning and the only thing he looked forward to after a hard day of work. Well that and their dog. Denki's smile made him smile. His laugh made him laugh. Hell, it made /everyone/ laugh.
