Cover art for Nine Inch Nails’ “With Teeth,” released 20 years ago today. “With Teeth” will always be special to me as it was the first album/era I art directed end-to-end, from defining the aesthetic to designing basically every visual element that existed around the album, associated releases, and tour campaigns. For several years I was working non-stop creating hundreds of visual pieces to craft a tightly-controlled all-encompassing visual identity around the release: album art, t-shirts, band photos, websites, advertisements, posters, music videos, trailers, concert visuals, and finally the concert film “Beside You in Time.” It was an intense, prolific, exciting period of time, personally and professionally. I enjoy taking the time to look back on it now because there wasn’t any time for reflection back then: Before the “With Teeth” tour had even finished we were already working on the sprawling world of “Year Zero” for its 2007 release, and then Lights in the Sky, and Ghosts, and The Slip, and… It’s a bit head-spinning looking back on the sheer volume of it all now. Truly, a young man’s game.

The digital glitch art style of “With Teeth” brought a new data-corruption aesthetic into popular culture, and defined me as a media artist for decades to come.

Cheers to 20 years of a life-changing experience.

Check my profile grid for more of my recent looks back at art and videos from the With Teeth era, and if you’re interested in creating similar types of glitch distortions like the ones seen in the logo here and throughout the WT artwork, I have a video tutorial with photoshop masks on at https://patreon.com/robsheridan.

The amount of hate on Nintendo has received since the Switch 2 announcements have been made is laughable. Everything, absolutely Everything that these dorks have been complaining about was the case with the PS5, save for maybe the absence of physical media.

I found one of our old posters outside while cleaning the yard at CO LAB. It lasted underneath a wooden stage from October till now. If that's not a sign of stickin thru the hard times then I don't know what is.

I watched it recently after purchasing a very pricy criterion blu ray and Holy eff it is so much better than I remembered it. I saw it in 2006 when it was brand new and never saw it again. Super, super happy I own it now.

‘Like Depeche Mode, but evil’: the sweaty, sexual music of 80s EBM As documented in a new book, electronic body music swept Belgium and Germany as its artists strove to make something entirely new – but their militaristic look became controversial

Whiteout.

That's the title/name of this Jester character. Cast on 925 silver, he's mounted on the ring shown in this image, as well as freely on his own, in pendant/necklace/earring form.

This particular copy was sent away to a buyer in the US who found me on etsy.

Horror themed Claddagh ring. Anatomical heart, skeleton hands and crown, cast in various repurposed gold pieces.

This was a size 17.5, by far the largest size of ring I have ever made.

Finished earlier this year, one of two gold wedding rings I made this Summer.
