I have been so disappointed to see this legislation continue to move forward and disgusted by the arguments for the hunt. Hopefully this bill at least drops the Sandhill hunt, either way, I’ll be trying to use this to motivate me to do more conservation work.

A male Bufflehead in low light, they have a mostly white body with black running down their head and back with a characteristic white patch on the back of their head. Just floating on Lake Michigan, which looks particularly calm and grey.

Two American Kestrels — small, patterned, and multicolored falcons (grey, browns, oranges, and white) — are each perched atop the two stumpy branches of a dead tree. The profile of each is shown with the vertical black stripes on their faces on full display.
A pair of American Kestrels perched on Lakeshore State Park. I typically see these guys in much more rural areas, so it was very cool to see them soaring along the Milwaukee skyline!
