It is easy to say when you don’t have to depend on those platforms to make a living. The consumers go to buy products sold by small businesses like mine on those apps. The only way to break them is to stop consumer spending. 2024 83% households shopped at least once on Amazon. $14.3B on prime day.
I don’t trust any of them.
My motto for the next four years: #NoWorkersNoProductNoConsumersNoProfit Use the power of your wallet. Stop spending money on consumer goods from corporations. Shop local. Hit them where it hurts, their profit margins.
As a small business on the Amazon platform, I will be harmed more by a boycott than Amazon but I’m willing to suffer for the greater good, but we need everyone to participate in a national strike. My new motto: #NoWorkersNoProductNoConsumersNoProfit we have the power, we just need to use it.
Only items I buy will be food in 2025 or buy from local business. I will only donate to proven progressive candidates. I think we need to take a page from Mexico & form a grassroots 3rd party. I will contact my representatives every week to show im paying attention

As an indie author that sells 99% of books on Amazon & 1% on all other platforms combined, I have a love/hate relationship w/Amazon. While Bezos is scum. Amazon actually donates more to Dems than R’s.
