Once when I was visiting from college, my dad was supposed to pick me up from the airport. Instead he sent his friend to get me, a friend who was drinking in the airport. I only realized this on the way home; then I was trapped in a car with a drunk driver. America feels like that, right now.

Pauses in funding should be temporary unless the funding is deemed to conflict with the President's previous Executive Orders. Additional information will be provided as it is received by the Agency.

The state's Medical Federal Payment Management System is currently down, mirroring the conditions in other states.

Books have saved me. For as long as I can remember I’ve read before going to sleep because, well, it’s enjoyable. But also to get my mind on something else. To distract it from the anxiety spirals.

Oh, you don’t want to go in there—it’s full of anxiety. Last night featured my worry about my 13-year-old basset hound’s hock injury. I learned at the vet that “hock” is what you call a dog’s ankle/heel. Here is Jackson looking unbothered by the whole thing.
