Totally. While treating it all like a business deal no one has the power to refuse. A complete derelict of everything the US has supposedly stood for since the end of WWII.

I was wondering how right wingers that are pro-Ukraine yet pro- Trump can possibly square their views with all this. But of course they will pivot in a heartbeat and throw Ukraine under the bus, buying into all this ‘Trump is your saviour and you should be grateful’ bullshit.

So Trump’s policy is basically that if one power wants to take another people’s country for themselves by force they can keep whatever they manage to occupy as long as the US gets plenty of the spoils, and those losing their land should somehow be grateful.

What choice did Zelensky have? Either roll over and sell out everything his people have been fighting and dying for, or try to speak the truth to a man who has no concept of what that means.

Watching Trump talk to Zelensky is like watching some mafia boss’s spoilt toddler repeatedly hitting a dignified guest with a rattle. It’s like a farce, but with deadly consequences.
