I’m a little late to the news but wanted to thank Drew Spencer for everything he has done for British baseball. Whilst it sucks to see him leave, every Brit hopes he can continue to thrive in pinstripes and keep making a name for himself. There is no one more deserving than him.

Can’t believe someone would try to find a way to e corporate every aspect of baseball into one stat! Let me keep my batting average thank you very much

Thank you for reading, I'm aware most of Bluesky will agree with me given the general political stance on this app. I just wanted to address it and voice my frustrations. Especially as the story of Jackie helped get me into baseball to begin with. Even if now I don't like the Dodgers...

We can all help with this, both through speaking about it but those who are fortunate to have money to donate, the NLBM is such an important place. It is on my baseball bucket list 100%. SABR also do incredible research about forgotten baseball history. Very often about forgotten NeL teams.

Please do keep speaking about not only Robinson but all black stars from that time period. Remember, Jackie Robinson was a hell of a player but was far from the best. Others were just earning a good living or were too old to feel like the gamble was worth it.

It is a heinous, racist act. I'm assuming an algorithm picked it up rather than a person, or I certainly hope. Even so, it shows how rotten this DEI initiative is at the very core.

Jackie Robinson is a hero, his story is inspirational and he deserves to be at the very forefront of history.

The reason why now is the time I chose to speak up, is the line has been crossed beyond politics. I am of course talking about Jackie Robinson and a story about his time in the army being taken down after being labelled DEI.

It has now reached a point where politics has interfered with baseball in a devastating way. This is my take on it from the outside

Person two - also worked 10 years elsewhere. Had been in a role below the one you were offering for a while. Still, you offer them interview.

He surprises you at interview, ultimately you are left surprised he hadn’t had a role at this level previously. You feel he would also do a good job.

Person one - had 10 years working elsewhere. They rose up the ranks to even a level higher than you’re advertising for. He’s by far the best employee by resume.

At the interview though, he underwhelms. You feel he still would do a good job but you’re left suprised he had been in better roles.

Eldridge and Jordan being scratched is really unfortunate. Particularly was excited to get a look at Jordan. Should be fun none the less!
