Then there's the issue of the confidence crisis. They don't have it because they are trying to do behind screens what you used to have to do in person: socialize and find your identity with women. They skipped steps and are trying to do big boy things without all the early lessons. And failing.

It's such a layered problem at this point that it's all tangled. On one hand, the amount of money anybody has free for courting is miniscule compared to 20-30yrs ago. Poor affordability today hurts ppl's ability to eat, stay housed, and (of course) date.
