Today I asked ministers to deny* that the number of jury acquittals in protest cases was a factor in the Government’s dangerous attack on jury trials.
*They did not do this
The Government wants to remove jury trials so it can declare everyone who protests against it GUILTY.
Without a jury being able to tell them no.
That is the ONLY reason for getting rid of Jury Trials.
DISTRACTIONS DON’T WORK.
COVERUPS WON’T WORK.
NOT EVEN WAR.
