Sure. But if I had a money, or other people paid for me, I would love to play The Sassoon Files in Victor Sassoon hotel. I imagine the cheapest room there would be at least $500. And in Shanghai the only thing I like to do is drink (another $100) and f-around.

This is sort of off topic. CoC character creation is really slow, which doesn’t seem suitable for a high lethality game. I’m designing around this for our next book. But anyway 1+1 with character gen… I think the Keeper should be planning out the campaign with the player during that phase.

Well... at least your children play TRPGs. Mine don't. One son plays board games, and they both would rather play basketball, work out at the gym, and/or read a book.
I blame their mother for this.
Yeah I get that and usually agree. But roleplaying is also being able to jump into the lives of other people. Pre-gens can make that a tailored experience. It also helps ensure a balance group or a group story that faces unique challenges.
