Honestly, it's so depressing looking for a new flat.

There's such a massive disconnect between the amount of space/quality of the building and the ridiculous amount of cash being asked for it.

Big shout out to Labour and their election pledge to ban section 21s from day one. We are seven months in and the renters bill is making slow progress. All this to say I’ve now been section 21’d TWICE in the last three years. Renting in the UK is a horrific joke.

You know what I miss? Blogrolls.
I know we have recommended substacks now, which is a move in the right direction, but outsourcing curation to algos and not trusted creators was where it all started to go badly downhill.

I didn't say one was better; I said this was a text-based social platform, and many people from other types of social platforms didn't understand how that worked. Also, I've been working in social for almost twenty years, studying these exact behaviours, so I have *some* idea what I'm talking about.

I had a similar thing just now on the Business Bros Platform with someone who argued that a midlife crisis doesn't happen 'these days' until you're in your sixties. I was trying so hard not to mention Uranus oppositions, etc., as I was getting strong pseudoscience vibes from her.

There are increasingly few people who seem to understand how to use 'text-based' social, and the expanding user base here is demonstrating this in real-time.

I know that this week/month/year has been challenging so far and there's so much work to be done, but it's imperative that we still try and find joy where we can.
