True, I was expecting a much more open game. Always thought WBA were a canny footballing side, but they went defensive and played for the draw. I guess it can be taken as a compliment that decent sides consider our attack to be so formidable 😎

I heard a stat being bandied around last night that Rigg performs 20-30% better in games when Roberts plays too. Not sure how true this is like - maybe @novocast.bsky.social could shed some light on it. Agree though - he doesn’t offer enough for me at the moment.

That’s a great perspective, Peter. I was disappointed at the final whistle but you’re right. Our expectations as a fanbase have evolved given the start we’ve had, and the bar has been raised. We’re still up there, and another decent point away from home. If this is our ‘rough patch’, I’ll take it!

What do you make of our recent tendency to sit back whilst leading? It’s never nice to drop points after a comfortable first half performance/lead. How can RLB address this going forward? Can’t wrap my head around our second half performances of late. Are we trying to conserve energy?

I can see Jobe going to a big European club in the not-so-distant future, but I don’t think it will be Dortmund - he seems determined to forge his own path, separate to that of his brother. Hopefully he’ll have a season with #SAFC in the Prem before he heads to pastures new though… 🤞🏻
