At tonight’s School Board meeting, we recognized Black History Month—a time to honor the achievements, history, and contributions of Black Americans—with the honor of hearing the incredibly talented Gunston MS choir perform the Black National Anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing".

In January we honor Muslim American Heritage Month, a time to recognize the history, culture, and countless contributions of Muslim Americans who enrich our communities and strengthen our nation.

One of the consent items at this evening’s School Board meeting was the signing of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with Arlington School Administrators (ASA) signed by both Superintendent and Dr. Pam Farrell, President of ASA.

Tonight is the start of Hanukkah, an eight-day holiday known as the Festival of Lights. We wish our students, families, and staff who will be celebrating over the next week a Happy Hanukkah!

First day of Hot Meals for Families!

APS families are invited to enjoy a free hot meal together at either Yorktown, Washington-Liberty or Wakefield High Schools from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
