Having a trans therapist is not for the weak. He immediately clocks when I say something that seems question-y regarding my own identity, plus, as some who CHOSE the masculine life, he helps point out that my version of masculinity doesn't have to align with the version society beat into me.

Of all the tweaks over the years, getting used to 5v5/only one tank took me a bit (especially as a sometimes tank player), but I honestly think it drastically improves the pacing of most matches.

I've felt it has largely been back for about a year or so now. But the more recent changes have still been very welcome.

Wasn't Tsuburaya's issues less about simulcasting and more due to the overly optimistic nature of their initial contract with Mill Creek? I remember hearing that went especially poorly for them before it got revised.

Is this a Toei problem? Or is Tsuburaya also experiencing it with Ultraman? If the former, Toei created the problem by resisting worldwide release for so long unofficial sources developed that people have grown attached to. Easy official availability would change that, but it'll take time.

Gavan Infinity not being officially simulcast anywhere seems like a massive missed opportunity to me. I know nothing about Gavan/Metal Heroes as a whole, but the first episode of Gavan Infinity is scratching more or less the same itch Kamen Rider scratches for me.

Started a rewatch of FMA: Brotherhood recently. I know it's the objectively better adaptation, but I still prefer the OG anime's opening point plus the general handling of the story up through Colonel Hughes.

Beast of Reincarnation has the potential to be incredibly eye-opening regarding who the problem party is when it comes to recent Pokemon franchise stumbles. Because if Game Freak can make something good on hardware they don't have advantageous access to, it sure ain't them.

Noticing that the TikTok algorithm is suddenly pushing a lot of pro-Christian/pro-MAGA content into my feed at the same time as content from 'leftists' who are already trying to discourage people from voting for Democrats. Almost like the same groups support both messages.

This sinus infection is really being a bastard, but it seems to finally be clearing up. I had a cough that appeared with the weekend flare-up, so I'm thinking a cold or something showed up to complicate things. Cough not unheard of with my sinus infections, but it's not a typical symptom either.

Like, if nothing else, I've already gotten more reimbursement for therapy in the first month of this year than my ANNUAL increase in plan cost.

Ugh; I hate how deliberately confusing health insurance makes things. I changed to a higher tier of what should be the same plan I've had, with the only difference being percentages and deductibles. But the higher tier ALSO reimburses a little for therapy without hitting the deductible first.

And like, I don't talk about significant aspects of sessions with Mom; just stuff from goofy asides if they're relevant to a conversation I'm having with Mom. The most significant thing I've mentioned is the ADHD diagnosis (don't think she's ready for a conversation about my autism).

Sensing that Mom doesn't like when I talk about therapy. She was happy enough that I got help that I desperately needed after Dad's death rendered me nearly nonfunctional, but I think she expected me to be done with it by now/would prefer that I was done with it.

I see Ricky Gervais is once again desperate to remind people that he exists.

Note to self: tighten down the ends of my septum piece before my upcoming travel. Already almost lost one of the cones, and I have not invested in extras yet (in part because I might stretch to 12g in a few months, so I don't want to invest a ton into the 14g piece).

As someone who wasn't diagnosed until my 40s, and has only just recently been in what is probably the first genuinely serious relationship of my life (mostly due to avoidance/not understanding why I struggled in the prior decades), this is so goddamn relatable.

Probably touched on it before, but my sisters and I have never been on the same page regarding ongoing care/involvement with our elderly parents' (now just Mom) medical care, and they both said things to me after Dad passed that led to me avoiding them as much as I can justify to Mom.

One less reason to go to family gatherings. I'm on good terms with sister's partner, and she's been one of the bright spots for me at family events (Christmas with her notably absent felt strange). With other sister's kids hitting ages where they're often absent, I'd only be going for Mom.

It's funny; just found out Mom and oldest sister's partner are on bad terms now for some reason, and she was all "I'm surprised you didn't know about it." I didn't know about it because I'M not on good terms with oldest sister (and she has shown no signs that she wants to resolve things).

Might have to take another brief break from following the news. Staying plugged in is starting to negatively impact my sleep again. Got some travel this weekend, which will hopefully help me reset.

You reposting it does remind me I would eventually like to get chibis of at least a couple of my other characters as money/available commission slots allow.

Short version: The original is special to me because the environmental themes were huge in me becoming an environmental engineer. Seeing those themes sidelined in favor of a weird meta-narrative on remakes murdered my interest in playing the rest.
