My wife and I can now effectively consolidate down to a single gaming device each (plus the Switch 2 because Nintendo) and move that device from the office, to the couch, to the TV, to the car and bring our games natively with us. This is the dream!

Man... Initial tests with the XG Mobile 5070 Ti EGPU are really awesome. Considering this and the Xbox Ally X are replacing my desktop with it's 2070 Super and my consoles it's a really, really solid upgrade! Not a cheap option, but the flexibility is so nice!

Absolutely 100% deserved. SIGNALIS is a game I constantly recommend to people. I plan to replay and 100% it again on Steam soon!!!

So apparently ASUS decided to shadow drop the new XG Mobile EGPU, but only the 5070 Ti version? I ordered one for my wife and I, but may trade them out for the 5090 version depending on performance. I may hold off on switching to Bazzite on my main drive until I can test performance with this.

This is crazy. I have received a total of 4 rewards despite doing it every day for two weeks now. I have a single Apple Pie/Small Fry, a single 4pc Chicken McNuggets/Snack Wrap, a single Small Coffe/Small Soda, and a single Small Frappe/Shake/Smoothie.

They can! PowerA has at least one wireless controller that doesn't require a dongle. Most manufacturers just use the dongle to avoid licensing for the Xbox wireless protocol.

Since Microsoft/Xbox don't care about growing their platform can we get Minecraft on Steam? I'd love an easy way to play it on my Steam Deck.

Whoa. I didn't even realize Pacific Drive was finally on Xbox, so yeah, I totally get him calling out Microsoft's poor marketing.

On one hand, late ports rarely get the same pomp unless they are massive titles like Final Fantasy or BG3 but this is literally the first I've heard of the port.

I've always just done some dabbling with home server stuff off of old computers we have, but now we're going to invest a little to build out a proper storage option and move away from Microsoft, Google, etc. My wife pointed out we'll also meaningfully cut down on consumption as a lifestyle.

My wife and I have come to an agreement on the path towards ditching our subscriptions. The hardest ones to let go of would have been Spotify and Google One. After showing her Plexamp and the low cost of CDs we're good to ditch Spotify, and after discovering Immich we're ditching Google too!

I already ditched Microsoft stock last year, but now the only thing left to do is just bail on the Windows platform as much as possible to send the message. I really hope we get some premium support from NVIDIA for Linux moving forward and some improved EGPU support for SteamOS/Bazzite.

Really glad that it's so easy to disable the AI chatbot in Firefox. I ditched Chrome and Edge, switched back to Firefox this past week, moved to Qwant for my search engine, and working to prep for a full move from Windows to Linux for everything but my work issued laptop.

I'm always excited for an excuse to replay Halo, but this just feels lame? I'm excited for a chance to bring new weapons into encounters I've practically memorized at this point, but CE still feels great on it's own.

It's interesting to see that a campaign only remake of Halo CE is launching as the first Halo title on PlayStation.

If Microsoft wants to get Xbox to 30% profit margins why not bring over Halo Infinite which has microtransactions, including 4 years of battle passes for PS5 players to catch up on?

The kind of thing that happens when you need to get to 30%...

I'm always down for any excuse to replay Halo CE but this really looks like an awful "Xbox hire this man" type fake game slice. All of the atmosphere of Installation 04 is completely gone.

Should update this list to include Halo Infinite's Haloween II Operation. There is a dedicated Survive the Undead gamemode and Flood-themed armor sets. Plus you can still earn the Ghost of Reach helmet and other cosmetics for free in The Exchange.
