Deported from Theresienstadt ghetto to #Auschwitz in Oct 1944. Her father was murdered in a gas chamber. Helga & her mother were moved to Freiberg & liberated in Mauthausen.

Today she turns 96. Happy Birthday!

28 October 1944 | A transport of 1,308 Jewish women prisoners left #Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp. They were transferred to KL Bergen-Belsen.

Most probably among them were sisters Anne and Margot Frank who died there of typhus in February 1945.

25 October 1944 | The administration of KL Dachau transferred to Auschwitz a group of 1,024 Jewish prisoners who were sick and unable to work.

4 prisoners died at the station before the transport departed. Most probably, the whole group was murdered in the gas chambers right after their arrival.

25 November 1894 | A Dutch Jew, Bob Hanf, was born in Amsterdam. A painter, writer, violinist & composer.

He was arrested on 23 April 1944 & incarcerated in #Westerbork. From there, he was deported to #Auschwitz where he perished in September 1944.
