In a group, you can cultivate something sfw together which will create more opportunities ✨ Making and maintaining a group ain't easy but I'm gonna trust you all to try and do it right. Don't make me threaten to do a stream with the Virtulantes to teach everyone! (10/10)

Not just with anyone though, create a group with ppl you trust and have the same motivations. You're not there to elevate yourself, you're working for your group. Come up with guidelines, communicate issues, work on your brand image. You yourself might be a bit nsfw but (9/10)

Do I have an answer to those things in particular? Sadly, no. But we can be louder and more visible to show the public what day-to-day life is for most vtubers and educate them in ways that excite them and make them curious. One thing I should try to push is make a group! (8/10)

because companies don't want to risk reputation for getting involved in an unknown subculture. On top of that, some of our most visible vtubers are political leaning in the worst possible ways and the mobility of their fans in particular hasn't gone unnoticed (iykyk) (7/10)

that I've run across talking to non-vtuber fans and those who work in corporate marketing. It's an issue I feel anxious to talk about but it's how easily vtubers and fans bandwagon together. In a way, that's one of our greatest strengths but it can also be a weakness (6/10)

Did you know a lot of the public think vtubers are completely AI? These were attendees at an anime con of all places too! That shows we have a public perception problem that needs fixing by educating ppl on what vtubers really are. There's also another troubling perception (5/10)

We should be looking to CREATE new vtuber fans, not fight over what current fans we have. We do this through expanding beyond our digital limits, like going to cons. One important thing I found out from the Vtuber Interaction Zone I did was the need for public education (4/10)

We can't rely on agencies to raise the overall profile of vtubing to the public. We're just gonna need to do it ourselves somehow. I'm focusing on conventions currently but we'll need to somehow find a way into adjacent industries and content 🤔 That's a subject for another time though

Only got worse, didn't it? But what happened sure has brought everyone together. I still worry a little about what will happen once things settle down but I think we smaller indies will need to work harder than ever to do the work big agencies can't or won't do in marketing vtubers to the public
