This is adult female eastern bluebird hanging out in a tree behind my house. Obviously this species is named after the male birds that are actually blue. Lol 😂🙄🙂

It was more complicated than that. The NC constitution says that if the governor leaves the state the Lt. Governor becomes acting governor and that would left Robinson running amuck signing laws, etc. while Cooper campaigned etc.
