You know, having actually encountered quicksand multiple times, in different contexts, it's not nearly as exciting as Hollywood made it out to be. Usually just a lot of strenuous wading, a little griping, and then "Oh, hey, that bit was quicksand" *turns and looks* "Huh."

I am concerned by the proprietary setup, I hope it recovers from failures well. If you decide you’d like something a little more solid down the road, please let me know? I do storage-adjacent stuff at work, and admin a few TB for my personal uses as well. RAID1 is *good* but not best.
