When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I admit, when I first picked up @gtavernetti.bsky.social's book I skimmed it & put it down. Then saw some comments on it's usefulness that sent me back -SO GLAD!

Why? It's the WHOLE lesson not one or a collection of techniques which moved my thinking forward - BRILLIANT.

'Being busy is a poor proxy for learning' Paul Kirschner, one of the godfathers of the science of learning, disabuses us of our romantic notions of learning

One of the greatest things about my talk with legendary researcher Paul Kirschner is our conversation serves as a kind of overview of the main ideas of the science of learning--so if you're new to how the brain learns, this is a crash course right here! hollykorbey.substack.com/p/being-busy...
