LOVEBUNNY AND MR. HELL
Something about working with someone who is sympatico with many of your own subject preferences and encourages you to be your own worst self. πŸ˜„

At the start of the illegal Iran assault I argued that this will benefit BRICs.
Trump's idiocy around Hormuz has made this even worse with Iran's offer of safe passage for anyone trading for oil in the Yuan.
Trump's begging for foreign aid to clear the straight today means someone got through to him

Canadians will no longer have to pay non-sufficient fund fees of more than $10 YouTube video by CityNews

A positive step by my otherwise scarily right-leaning government:

Cassie Hack being stalked through the woods at night by Jason Voorhees

Good timing to have @hackintimseeley.bsky.social 's Cassie Hack on my mind - this was a commission merging Friday the 13th with Hack/Slash
and eventually became an alt-cover for the series after a quick redraw of Jason.

There's some pure joy to be found in playing in Jean Gir./Moebius' sandbox.
For me it's most easily found in Arzach and his flying mount

Scoop: Trump claimed in G7 call that Iran is "about to surrender" 24 hours later, Iran's new supreme leader vowed to keep fighting.

As soon as one leader of a former US ally speaks out about Trump's clear cognitive impairment it will trigger a real countdown to his removal.
The economic devastation he's inflicted in just over a year is exhauring international patience

We need to end techbro culture and the billionaire class that's enabled them before they end us.

Thank you.
I got some drawing in today, and the blurry vision in my right eye has rapidly diminished. The vision difference in focus, light and colour is remarkable.
It's almost like my as-yet untouched eye has a warming distortion filter: everything is a touch darker and tinted an antique gold.

I still have love for my mother and brother in spite of their fall into far right hate.
I'm sorry I couldn't help free them of that or continue having them in my life. I hope they can find a way to forgive me my limitations there.
And I am thankful for the happy memories I carry from better times

I took the surgery day off and binged the majority and rest of season one of THE PITT.
The HoΚ»oponopono mantra spoken to someone you're losing or have lost struck me as particularly beautiful:
"I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you."

It brought my estranged family to mind. . .

GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE
It has all the stuff I love as well as a salient and all too timely message, but it just doesn't come together or have enough momentum to make such cohesion less important.

It'd be better all around if they go with him. Along with the administration and all his current supporters

I've seen Professor Jiang's Predictive History videos making the rounds and he seemed to be worth considering in sound bites until I saw his Civilization #54 The German Will to Power video. . . .

Sketch of Christopher Hitchens. As smart and logical as he could be, he could blunder into bad positions (like supporting the Iraq war), so no guarantee he'd be on the right side of things, but his approach inspired me to do the same.

He may be missed, but the tools he used are still there for us

Things you Google in a panic after eye surgery:
"...Some patients notice an unexpected and sometimes bothersome visual effect after surgery: a dark, crescent-shaped shadow in their far peripheral (side) vision. This phenomenon is known as negative dysphotopsia."

Not a threat, but jeez. . . .

Post surgery everything is blurry, but was told that was to be expected. I have noticed things are brighter already, so I expect my colour vision is stepping up as a result.

Medium shot of Hellboy with a cigar

Drawn for Hellboy's 33rd anniversary (hoping I got the year right). Been a fan since seeing the cover tease of Next Men with HB on the cover and I though the horns were a pair of goggles on his head.
Still so fun to draw fanart of Mike Mignola's second most important kid all these years later.
