We saw one at Scorton Lakes yesterday and Noctule was suggested.

Just gone through the Bluesky age verification system so that I can use chat again. Fairly simple and didn't seem too intrusive, just let the laptop scan my face. Hope this helps others thinking about it
Great to watch the Goldeneyes at Bolton on Swale this morning. The water is so clear and the birds come so close to the hide that you can watch them underwater. Just need a polarising lens now! @yorkswildlife.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

Somewhere out there is the River Derwent 🤣. Didn't manage to connect with the WT Eagle or the Tundra Bean Geese today but Whoopers, Pink-footed and Barnacle Geese and 3 Scaup with plenty of smaller raptor action and good company made for an enjoyable if cold day

Please be aware that the Main Reserve car park will be closed for the morning on Monday, 26th January. Many thanks for your understanding

Bittern on the ice today @nosterfieldnr.bsky.social reedbed screen. I may have missed this bird at first but thankfully Tim Scott pointed it out to me. It finally crept out of the reeds after we'd watched in for abut 20 minutes @nybirdnews.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social
I was surprised Dave too but I was only about 300 yards from some fast moving shallow water
