People are really, really weird about creatives wanting to make earn a living. I keep seeing comments like "you should just be happy have an audience" and "must be nice to comment from your mansion" about mid-tier touring bands but applies universally. (working creatives don't have mansions)

don't let anyone shrink your joy and excitement for something. it's not stupid. it's not cringe, or lame. if someone's initial reaction is to wave it off, laugh, or roll their eyes, fuck 'em. never quiet or dampen yourself for anyone. their boring plain bitchasses don't deserve your fixated passion.
