There's more than a non-zero chance Sinner destroys Fonseca in what's his first Sincaraz match, but there also lies the possibility Fonseca rises to the occasion and man, I can't wait for this.

Whooo boy, outside those opening couple of games in the second set, Fonseca has completely manhandled Paul. And when he's confident, Fonseca lives for hitting targets, so even coming to the net is fraught with danger. Fitting he secures the break at 4-3 in the second that way. Impressive.

Ball knowers need this match for research purposes. 🤝

Season's worth of highlight reel for normal players in one match

Career to this point has had big live by the sword, die by the sword vibes with respect to it but when that forehand is forehanding for Fonseca, he's irresistible. Must build better rally tolerance on a more consistent basis, but when you hit like a freight train, hard not to go for it like he does.

I love it though tennis needs more football vibes

Paul is one of the most athletic players on the tour and Fonseca is bullying him out the gate, his ceiling is fucking absurd.

Early days but it's a little unnerving to see just how rattled Paul is by both Fonseca's easy power and mobility for a player his age and the Davis Cup crowd of Brazilians at what is a home Masters event.

Went in completely cold with no practice together and Tien playing Shelton earlier in the day, so naturally started like a dog's breakfast, but Team cambi3 Enterprises eventually managed to push the Cousins into an entertaining match. God I hope they play more doubles, they were clearly having fun.

Had that gut feeling this would be an interesting match up, given the relatively slowish conditions and 🐀 not being one who’s not going to take time away from Nakashima or move him around the court. And we’re approaching squeaky bum time.
