The development down that arc is slower in the US because going after non-military/non-border feds and remaking the global economy and expunging every undocumented person and purging academia takes a lot of bandwidth.

Many US companies are doing little to no hiring beyond filing blue color jobs vacated by ICE.

During Waldo Canon fire, Ann Coulter and I connected on twitter helping people impacted by the fire. When her focus was on helping people, she was actually a beautiful human. But, anytime her politics were triggered, her brain stopped thinking things through before purging onto the world

In most spaces and roles, passion is not always understood or accepted, but everyone wants someone who lights up providing care to or encouraging good behavior from their pet.

04.08.2025 00:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Mark Zandi @Markzandi ยท 8h The economy is on the precipice of recession. Thatโs the clear takeaway from last weekโs economic data dump. Consumer spending has flatlined, construction and manufacturing are contracting, and employment is set to fall. And with inflation on the rise, it is tough for the Fed to come to the rescue. Unemployment remains low, but thatโs only because labor force growth has gone sideways. The foreign-born workforce is shrinking, and labor force participation is declining. Telling is the economy-wide hiring freeze, particularly for recent graduates, and the decline in hours worked. Mark Zandi @Markzandi ยท 8h Itโs no mystery why the economy is struggling; blame increasing U.S. tariffs and highly restrictive immigration policy. The tariffs are cutting increasingly deeply into the profits of American companies and the purchasing power of American households. Fewer immigrant workers means a smaller economy.
Moody's chief economist Mark Zandi says:
- We are headed for a recession
-The BLS data is totally reliable- for now
-The revisions are due to delayed reporting of DOGE govt layoffs
-Higher tariffs are dragging down the economy

Numbers on AI build out are mind-blowing. One new data center in Wyoming will more than double electricity consumption in the state. Majority of US growth is AI build out
One news program was discussing AI and the moderator asked if AI was a bubble. The response: of course AI is a bubble!
Lynda Carter shared this on twitter, so I'm sharing it here. Behold: 2 minutes & 45 seconds of absolutely perfect television.

Iโve developed a new travel habit that is proving delightful.
Whenever I can, I avoid not only tollways/express lanes but also interstates.
The highways are more than merely less crowded. Theyโre more scenic and less stressful to drive.
So, Iโll be continuing this even if it is 5 miles farther.
