I was the opposite whenever our local sirens fired off for testing. Purge thoughts came to mind. It wasn't testing, it was malfunctioning by sounding off various times in the morning only on testing days. Used to be once a month, but now it's every week. Being told to "ignore" it for weeks is scary!
