i like umbreon :) it has like a special place in my heart because for a long time it was my dad's favorite Pokemon when I was a kid (tied with Larvitar). But apparently now his favorite Eeveelution is Leafeon after years of playing Pokemon GO which is so interesting to me

Personally I'm not sure which I'd prefer. Ch231 definitely feels a lot more final-final than Ch96 did, but maybe it means they'd be able to go in a totally new direction for a Pt3 if it does exist??
All I do know is that Pt2, while def still enjoyable at points, was overall kinda a mess lol
Dunno if this is officially reported or not, but if they're just going by the "final chapter comes out March 24th!", then it's worth noting that that's also how Part 1 ended. So there is a chance that it means "the end of part 2" and not "the end of the manga"

My "reread" of Mahoyo (I stopped after finishing Chapter 8 originally like two years ago, so everyone convinced me to just start over so that I could be refreshed on everything) is going well btw. Definitely a lot of stuff I missed the first time. Probly gonna finish Chapter 4 tonight before bed

Though I've been taking a break for a few weeks bc I've been a biiit too emotionally volatile to practice fighting games, I've been learning Ilsa in GBVSR and actually am really enjoying it and clicking with her! I even entered my first ever local tournament using her! (I went 0-2 but hey who cares)
Another shout out to an Umamusume career mode story, Mejiro Ardan - as well as her bond story commus. Very emotional, and Commu 4 legit makes me cry. Also had great moments from Yaeno and Chiyo. They're "the top three" in my heart. :')
Uma BoaNE, but in a theater that was only my friends (half of whom were fighting game players), and while on some legal-to-sell-in-my-state shrooms chocolate (2024)

And finally, Growlithe just seems inherently great as someone's first partner. Affable and loyal. Then Arcanine is still one of the coolest Pokemon ever, so I'd be so proud to see it all grown up and then I could ride on its back and we'd go on adventures! Also it'd be awesome in Pokemon Contests.
Omanyte would be cool because it's giving some love to my favorite of the less-popular choices, and it prob gives very cute hugs :') Omastar would look intimidating to opponents but would still be my sweet buddy, so fun juxtaposition. Also, I love beaches, so I could bring it to the beach a lot!
Dratini would be super neat because I love all of its forms in different ways. Dratini could be my lil baby I could raise and take care of, Dragonair is beautiful and regal and we could start entering Pokemon Contests, and then my best pal Dragonite could fly us around on sky adventures!
My two honorable mentions are Bulbasaur and Seel. The thing is that I vastly prefer one of their evolutions over their base form (Ivysaur and Dewgong), and so it'd feel disrespectful to spend their entire youth just wanting them to evolve quicker 😭 (and in Bulbasaur's case, not make it to Venusaur)
