👐 NWC fully supports the @labourparty Bill in the Dáil today for a right for employees to flexible and remote work

✅️ Having a right to flexible and remote work won't fix gender inequality, but it would provide another tool for women in managing the complexity of life

We cannot wait to read Gisèle Pelicot's memoir. She is a trailblazer for survivors of #GenderBasedViolence, an icon of our time.

Deeply concerning article revealing that a mother who experienced domestic violence was refused social housing priority

Local authorities must take DSGBV into account when assessing housing priority. No survivor should have to fight the system like this.

Traveller and Roma women die, on average, 8 years earlier than women in Ireland generally.

NWC attended the launch of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency report @Pavee.Point last week.

We fully support the call on government to cut the life expectancy gap in half by 2030.

On #BrigidsDay, also the first day of spring, we look at this day as a symbol of care, protection and renewal, deeply connected to land, food and community, a reminder to all of us that humans and nature are not separate 🌱

Climate justice is care work. And care must be at the heart of our future💚

The sentence handed to Pacheco is a small piece of justice for her killing, but nothing will bring Bruna back.

We hope this sentencing brings some sense of closure for her family after the horrifying ordeal they have endured over the past few years.

Our thoughts are with the family, friends & loved ones of Bruna Fonseca following yesterday’s sentencing of Miller Pacheco who has been found guilty of her murder on New Year’s Eve 2023.

Women deserve to be safe wherever they are whomever they are with, free from the fear of violence & murder.
