I just finished my first (manga) book by Junji Ito: "Alley." It's a collection of short stories that skillfully combines slow-burn eerieness and outright creepiness. Dialogue is pretty on the nose, but it's not a big deal. Definitely worth the pickup if you're a horror fan.
