I'm frequently caught in this cycle bouncing between "I wanna go to a furry convention!!" And then my social anxiety catching up to me.
I probably just need to fully commit going at some point so I don't stay in this cycle forever, would be a shame to miss the opportunity to meet cool people

I really wanna get back into fursuit/costume making and try new things (realistic style), so now that I'm getting good sleep again and ordered a bunch of supplies I had been dreaming of, I hope this'll work out!

The 3D-printed head base was giving me a bit of a headache to work with (mostly my own incompetence), so I've opted for something different. I'll attempt to turn Kazplay's fox mask into an ultra lightweight semi-realistic fox head! I also gave it a nose using foam clay :)

A mannequin head with bits of foam taped to it.

The same mannequin head but this time with a dog-like canine fursuit head base/mask with a hinged jaw and blue eyes strapped onto it.

The same mannequin head with the fursuit head base on it, but this time wrapped in tape, which will then be peeled off, and cut up into the pattern for the fur. The tape has writing on it such as "snout" and "cheek" to make recognising the different parts easier.

I was lucky enough to find an old mannequin head at my workplace this very day!
I added some padding to match my head shape better and went away and did the patterning. Starting with the small snouted guy

Printed these two head bases a while ago. Left one is by NiuBIYo on Etsy and the right is by Luccus on Printables / thingiverse.
All I need now is a mannequin head / bust to make the furring process more convenient :)
