🙄 There are too many things in that article to comment on, so I'll just say that I addressed the creeper topic here on bsky when it happened. I agree about the campfire problem, though I'd use the bed as a better example. The campfire is great because it adds motion and can be used for many things.

Games are my hobby 😅 I particularly like to watch professional StarCraft. At the moment I'm back into Blood Bowl as well. Most recent game I played through was Thronefall.

Ah, a question I can answer! Minecraft may have zombies and dragons, but since those early days I've been pushing the team to build a Minecraft fantasy and not a generic classical fantasy. So when we add monsters we try to design monsters that are unique to Minecraft.

The survey should be regarded as scientific research and not a voting system for game features. That's why the it includes things that we may or may not do.

We want players to build these as part of playing the game

Bedrock is on many platforms on which Java-styled modding is not possible, which is why we've created the Add-ons solution for Bedrock.

I think it's because the shader (graphics component that applies the texture) is different in bedrock. Personally I think I prefer the way it looks in Java, even if it's maybe a bit more cartoonishly blue.
