Broiled bok choy with garlic and lemon One of our favorite recipe to eat some greens in the colder months : broiled bok choy with garlic and lemon. This recipe has become a favorite of ours: very simple, delicious and tasty. The trick is to literally burn the bok choy and char them. I found that technique randomly on the Internet a couple of years ago when I was trying to figure out the best way to cook bok choy. For us that’s the way since then : and I serve them with some plain ramen with ponzu sauce, that makes a full and healthy meal.

Soulagement ! élections 2025 Le New Jersey (où j’habite) n’est pas passé n@zi et c’est même une femme qui a été élue gouverneur ! J’avais peur parce qu’elle était en face d’un homme (mâle) républicain (pas modéré du tout et bien maga à fond, un véritable f@ciste ). élections 2025 élections 2025 Ouf les électeurs sont allés voter en masse. Alors que pour la présidentielle l’an dernier pas du tout : n’oublions pas que le sinistre agent orange a été élu avec seulement 15% de voix, oui 15% parce que seulement 30% d’électeurs sont allés voter, les autres soit n’ont pas voulu s’en donner la peine soit ne voulaient pas voter pour une femme (Harris) donc ont préféré s’abstenir : on voit le résultat, le monde est sens dessus dessous et les États-Unis en déclin aussi monstrueux que rapide « grâce à » seulement 15% de vote en faveur des abrutis qui nous gouvernent maintenant (gouverner est un grand mot) et parce que certains n’ont pas voulu se donner la peine de voter.

Untied Brewing Company – two recent New England India Pale Ales : Pulses and Out of Focus Two new IPAs that my local favorite brewery, Untied Brewing Company, released in the past weeks: Pulses and Out of Focus. Pulses is 6.2% vol. Out of Focus is 6.5% vol. Pulses : Pulses Golden yellow, very cloudy with thick white foam. Nose : apricot and citrus. In mouth : resin, pine and citrus at first, More bitter than the usual New England IPAs from Untied, citrus as the main note, bitterness in middle mouth. Round and crisp finale. Some pine and apricot / peach in after mouth. Well done !

Je suis retournée dans le Delaware Water Gap, toujours côté New Jersey, pour explorer un nouvel endroit de cette region en faisant une belle randonnée assez facile autour d’un groupe de lacs. Randonnée sur un chemin facile dans le but, en réalité, de tester mon genou (mes genoux) après mon vol plané dans la maison fin juillet. Chemin facile puisque c’était pour une grande partie un chemin de maintenance forestière.

Une pluie torrentielle a apporté des inondations éclair, spécialement dans ma ville (une des plus touchées). Bien que j’habite en haut de la ville et dans ce haut encore sur une petite colline au dessus de la route et loin de tout cours d’eau, nous avons été inondés dans la maison - mon sous-sol.
