Happy international Women's Day!
May all your dresses have pockets π
Been rewatching Babylon 5.
The most unbelievable part? Babylon 4 disappeared just 4 years before and they managed to build another one and already have it running for at least a year. Pure fantasy ππ
"Why should he, an eight-month-old boy, have more pockets on his clothes than I do?"
Well, exactly! He can look after your car keys then ππ

I've not worn a handbag for years. Having a clear out, and I finally know where all my pens went. π³
(Also a Lego spaceman, who doesn't wish to show his face!)
Pockets are the way forward. I haven't worn a handbag in years, it's so liberating!
Fabulous π. Love a dress with pockets (obvs!)
Just finished War and Peace!
It was free in audible read by Thandiwe Newton, and was really good. ( Having previously watched the BBC adaptation helped!) I've been listening to it on and off for the last year.
Hope that isn't my achievements for this year peaked π
π± π¦ Lush times at @sheffieldtransformed.org this weekend... We had a dream team there running a workshop on 'How we can use community land buy-backs to get land justice' and the roomΒ wasΒ packed!Β π₯
Probably don't need this anymore π³
Let communities own rivers, woods and moors!

Just found out that a league as an imperial unit is about 3 miles. This makes 20,000 leagues under the the sea pretty good going considering the diameter of the Earth is only around 12,000km π
Lovely to have space for discussing community ownership of Moscar Moor on BBC Sheffield this morning⦠You can listen in from 8.12 via www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

England's Community Right to Buy must enable communities to own environmental assets.
Excellent to see this cross-party amendment to the English Devolution Bill tabled by @vikkislademp.bsky.social @simonforstroud.bsky.social @sianberry.bsky.social:

Dr Frankenstein definitely comes across as a dangerous narcissist. I had the misfortune to listen to the book on audible a few years ago. Listening to him rant on, wasted hours of my life I won't get back. I can't imagine Shelley thought he was a sympathetic character.
Was really happy to see @threeacresacow.bsky.social at the Crucible this evening. Some things you take for granted as being just the way things are, but seeing the history of enclosure, shows how recently we had common rights to land. Also a great crowd and some lovely communal singing π

Is that the wonderful @katemossewriter.bsky.social writing in The Observer talking about End Sexism in School's new report into the History curriculum? π
New report out Wednesday - watch this space.
A great article about pockets in women's clothing, the history and the designers who champion them. www.bbc.co.uk/culture/arti...
In Bruges last month there was a little kid who'd lost his parents on a tour, but as soon as he started with his anguished cries of βmummy!β the crowd mobilised. Some to comfort him, others to look for the parents. They were reunited in minutes. Most people are nice. It's hard to remember sometimes.
Pyjamas with pockets naysayers : I found mine extremely useful when camping for my torch in a middle of the night toilet trip
That sounds great, thanks!
My 13-year-old just recently got some black skinny jeans from the womenβs department because fellow emo kids told him that was the best place to find them, and, oh, the validation I felt when he complained about the teeny tiny pockets
And it was really helpful, thanks!
Thanks! That's so lovely π

π₯Ύ Just shy of 200 people joined us up at Moscar Moor today to mark the start of the shooting season and united around our call for this huge grouse shooting estate in the Peak District to be taken into community ownership.
π Stop grouse shooting
