Yes! The software will support digital overlays, so you’ll be able to add them to the games. We’re currently working on a few small features like this, for example the ability to turn the buzz sound on or off. 😊

Joining Fediverse would be great, but managing all those networks might be a bit much. 😝

Yeah the screen is definitely a key part of the Vectrex experience! That’s why we’ve put a lot of work into the display and the emulation of effects... You’ll be able to adjust the display settings to get a look that works best for you. 😊

1. The resolution is 800x480px.
2. The games will run in black and white, but the Vectrex Mini does support color.
3. Yes, you’ll be able to add digital overlays to the games.

That’s such a great memory with the bookstore setup! 🥰
For the Vectrex Mini, it’s emulation on an OLED screen, and you’ll be able to adjust the display settings to get the look you want.

Unfortunately that’s not something we’ll be able to offer, as CRT screens are no longer produced for consumer use today.

I can see that! It’s actually the ship that lays mines in Minestorm (which is the Vectrex version of Asteroids), but yeah, it does have that same kind of look! 🙂

Backed this one on Kickstarter in the first hour! I just love how unique the Vectrex is, and I might never have learned about if not for this revival. Gonna be a long wait, but worth it!

The Vectrex Mini doesn’t support the 3D Imager, so true 3D games would be tricky, but we’d love to see something like that happen. 😌
