And they're done! I'm so happy with how this turned out. I'm starting to feel a little more confident in being able to produce finished illustrations in traditional media, not just studies. 😊This is watercolor + gouache., with a little bit of color pencil and pastel for final touches.

No amount of marketing advice or hustle culture bullshit about monetizing followers will fix the structural problems that make freelance art careers so difficult. Maybe spend more time asking why people can’t/don’t want to pay us? Why society can’t support us?
Honestly the best and only tip I can give people who want to get others to care about their OCs is to be ten times as insane about them themselves. That's it. You gotta care. Gotta make them and write them with love and feral drive that's a little scary sometimes. The passion will inspire others.
