You can vote in internal elections to decide who leads the party, sits on committees, etc, go along to conferences to help decide national policy - also means you can go along to meetings of your local party to help decide local policy and you could run to be a candidate if you wish

I do actually agree with the political commentators that you can’t extrapolate today’s result and assume that the greens will do well in the next general election, which is why we all need to get behind them and make damn sure the worst politicians lose their seats

Still surprises me seven years in to medical transition that not everyone looks at me and sees a big flashing sign above my head that says “transgender!” and to most people the sign says “white man with bad dress sense!”

Was chatting with someone I’m out to at an event yesterday and we were chatting about general health stuff and they asked if I’d ever had surgery for anything before because they had recently and I just looked transgenderly at them before they went “oh! Of course!”
